Volunteer Translator – Salvation Army
December 2014 – Present (11+ years)
Providing pro bono Spanish-English translation services to help families in need access Salvation Army assistance programs.
Volunteer Work:
- Translate enrollment requirements and program information from English to Spanish for families registering for Christmas gift and meal assistance
- Bridge language barriers so Spanish-speaking families can access critical support services
- Ensure clear communication of program eligibility and application processes
This volunteer work aligns naturally with my professional commitment to making important information accessible to underserved communities—the same principle that guides my editorial work at ASingleMother.org and GrantsForSeniors.org.
